College Life Can Be Complicated
College is a complicated time in our lives. It is a time of life that can be incredibly exhilarating, explorative, and beautiful. But for many, it can also be a time of life that is filled with loneliness, anxiety, stress, and being overwhelmed. Therapy can help!
Navigating New Life Experiences
In addition to classwork, college is a time in which you are likely also to navigate friendships, romantic relationships, off and on-campus jobs, your relationship with alcohol, body image, and your relationship with food-SHEESH. Maybe it’s also your first time away from home. Maybe you struggled with mental health prior to college and found that your problems just followed you there.
We Specialize in Counseling for College Students
Whatever your struggle is, at Wildflower Therapy, we want to help. Our therapists absolutely love working with college students to navigate these various challenges. The majority of our clients are actually college students!
We regularly see students from the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University, and various other colleges across the state of Pennsylvania. We recognize that you have busy schedules, and lots of balls in the air- no worries.
Online or In-Person Therapy for College Students in Pennsylvania
We can do our very best to make sure that therapy will fit your schedule and lifestyle. Whether you live on-campus in the greater Philadelphia area and want to see a therapist in person, or live elsewhere in the state of PA and would prefer to see someone virtually, our therapists are here to make it work!
What types of issues do we help college students with?

We help college students navigate everything from life stressors, to diagnosable mental health disorders. We also know that many college students have therapists in their hometown, and simply need to see someone during the time that they are on campus.
Continuation of Care
We totally understand this, and are happy to collaborate with your therapist back home to make sure you can continue the work that you were already doing with them! Also, we know that many college wellness centers are overbooked and that students are often referred out. We are happy to provide therapy to any students who are not able to access those services.
College Student Body Image Issues
We have very specific experience helping college students who are struggling with eating disorders and body image. We deeply understand how challenging the college environment can be on someone’s body image and relationship with food- and we are equipped with the skills to help you navigate recovery from these issues while also surviving the unique day-to-day chaos that just is college.
Student-Athletes
We also have very specific experience helping college student-athletes who are struggling with eating disorders. Again, we deeply understand the nuance involved in the student-athlete experience. We get that you may have different pressures and different dietary considerations that non-athletes may not have to grapple with when trying to recover from an eating disorder. We are ready to help you with this recovery journey while always taking your individual identity as an athlete into account.
The following are all issues that we have helped college students with:
- Test anxiety
- Eating disorders
- Body Image struggles
- Bipolar Disorder
- Anxiety (Generalized and Social)
- Depression
- Adjustment issues
- Perfectionism
- Trauma
- Interpersonal struggles
